What is AcnePath?
AcnePath is a free website that helps people find acne treatments and dermatologists near them. Users identify their acne concerns, optionally scan their skin with AI, get personalized treatment recommendations, preview potential results, and connect with dermatologists who treat acne.
How it works
The flow: (1) Identify your acne type — share concerns or take a quick skin photo. (2) Get personalized treatment recommendations including the Accure Acne Laser, prescription topicals, chemical peels, and more. (3) Preview your skin with AI-generated before/after visualization. (4) Find dermatologists near you by ZIP code. (5) Send a message to connect with providers.
Treatments
AcnePath features the Accure Acne Laser — an FDA-cleared 1726 nm laser that targets overactive sebaceous glands. Other options include prescription topicals (retinoids, tretinoin), chemical peels, oral medications, microneedling, and laser resurfacing. Recommendations are personalized based on user concerns and optional AI skin analysis.
Technology
Skin analysis uses Claude (Anthropic) or Autoderm. Before/after previews use OpenAI GPT Image or Replicate. Provider search uses the NPI Registry and Google Places API. Built with Next.js, TypeScript, Prisma, and PostgreSQL.
